SUNN O))) is pleased to unveil more US tour dates in support of their latest opus Monoliths & Dimensions.

Following their previously announced Midwestern US tour beginning next week, the band will devastate the West Coast this August. The tour kicks off in Seattle where SUNN O))) will headline two Southern Lord label showcase events. The first night will be as a duo performing the the Shoshin/GrimmRobe Demos in its entirety! They will be joined by labelmates The Accüsed (this show serving as a record release show for the Accüsed album The Curse of Martha Splatterhead!), An encore Seattle performance follows the next night, this time alongside Southern Lord brethren Earth, Pelican and Eagle Twin. SUNN O))) then surges south along the coast through California and into Utah and Colorado alongside labelmates Eagle Twin and The Accüsed.

It is with immense reverence that Southern Lord Recordings presents the new vinyl EP “Ephemeral” from Chicago heavy-rock instrumental icons Pelican. Their genre-defying sound and eagerness to explore new musical directions made them a obvious choice to join the Southern Lord roster. They fit perfectly alongside like minded bands on the label like Earth, Boris and sunn 0))). The “Ephemeral” EP was recorded at Red Room studios in Seattle, WA by Chris Common (These Arms Are Snakes drummer). This new material is much heavier, darker and very riff-oriented. Joining Pelican on the Earth cover: The Geometry of Murder is none other than the man who wrote the song himself: Dylan Carlson. This was a very special moment for the band as they have been heavily influenced by Earth throughout their career. These new songs are a very exciting sign of great things to come from Pelican on future releases on Southern Lord. Thick full color jacket, 180 gram GOLD vinyl.

Earth - Radio/Live LP

In the interest of documenting exceptional and vibrant live performances by our artists, we are proud to present a exclusive, vinyl only live album from Earth. Comprised of two tracks from a live radio broadcast on KFJC (New Years Eve 2007) and two track from a live performance in Vienna on there 2008 European tour. Of particular note is that Trey Spruance (Secret Chief 3, Faxed Head) plays Baritone Guitar and sitar on the KFJC recordings. The sound quality is incredible and crystal clear! Randall Dunn (sunn 0))) , Boris, Kinski) was the live sound engineer and the recordings were ultimately mastered by Mell Dettmer. The 180 gram black vinyl comes housed in a beautiful cloth-like textured heavy-weight cardboard sleeve with metallic silver foil printing! This release is limited to 3,000 copies and as with all Southern Lord vinyl it is highly collectible and they will go fast! each
