SUNN O))) is proud to present our first UK in 3 years, including a return to the north of England!
In support of the Monoliths & Dimensions album, the lineup on stage will be Anderson & O’Malley, Attila Csihar and Steve Moore (Stebmo). O))) will be joined for 2 dates by Swedish electronics guru BJ Nilsen performing a special “Storms” set, and a pair of concerts with psychedelic mantra outfit OM. OM statement
A statement from Om:
“Om is continuing forward with a new drummer and working on a new recording. Please check the band’s website and myspace page for updates.
A live vinyl only LP “Om - Live at Jerusalem” will be forthcoming. This is Chris Hakius’ final release with the group.
I personally apologize to east coast fans who planned on coming out to the shows. Please know that Om will be back in your area later in 08.”
Thank you to all of you. Live dates resume in late spring. There is a LOT of new material on its way.
Shrinebuilder is also forging ahead.
See you all soon.” - Al/Om

Asbestosdeath-”Unclean, Dejection” CD OUT NOW!
In the late eighties …Before the mighty formation of Sleep:
Al Cisneros (Bass/Vocals), Chris Hakius, and Matt Pike (Guitar) played together (along with Thomas Choi/Guitar) in Asbestosdeath. Ad are the roots of the oak that branched into the massive creation of not only Sleep but of course OM (Al and Chris), High On Fire (Matt) and ItisI/Operator Generator (Thomas Choi). Asbestosdeath was short-lived and only existed long enough to record 4 songs that were released on 2 separate 7’s. One: “Unclean” was released by the band, the other: “Dejection” was released by Profane Existence. These recordings are long out of print…buried by time and dust. On the specific request of the band Southern Lord has been chosen to unearth these recordings and make them available once again!
It is our honor to unveil this compact disc properly documenting these sacred hymns! Be prepared for divine punishment! each!
Track Listing:
1. Nail
2. Scourge
3. Anguish
4. The Suffering
Running Time: 20:30
OM to release next album with Southern Lord!!!!
Jan. 19th 2007
It is with extreme honor that Southern Lord is officially able to announce the signing of San Francisco’s OM. OM was formed in 2003 by Al Cisneros (bass/vocals) and Chris Hakius (drums), both founding members of legendary doom pioneers Sleep. The band has released two previous albums with Holy Mountain Records: “Variations on a Theme”(2004), and “Conference of the Birds” (2006). OM will fit perfectly among other bands on the Southern Lord roster (Sunn 0))), Earth, Boris) who are continually pushing boundaries, and forging ahead in new directions. OM are helping reinvent AND reinforce modern heavy music.
Their first album for Southern Lord will be recorded this summer at Electrical Audio studios with Steve Albini at the controls. Album title and release date forthcoming. Please stay tuned for more info!
